Prajczer Lilla and Tamás, as the representatives of GeoX Ltd. and TIMON project participated in the Indian Jugaad learning circle program hold in Mumbai and Bangalore February 1st-8th, 2018.
This program is part of the overall EASME Horizon 2020 project "Capturing innovation impulses from emerging markets", realised by Icunet, Technopolis Group and Hofstede insights. They have met with local companies providing IT solutions in transportation domain (ridlr, OLA, ZipGo, Baxi, Spero). These meetings gave them a brief insight into the local mobility sector with a special focus on public transportation and mobile applications.
During the one week stay in India, they’ve tried many types of transportation such as cabs, buses, trains, planes, rickshaws, boats etc. to learn and experience the situation of the local transportation as much as possible. They’ve used several times the TimonMobile application both for car navigation and in public transportation. The Antares Navigation SDK utilizes MapBox's car and Google Tranzit's public transportation routing service outside of the test areas in Helmond and Ljubljana. They have joined to dabbawallas for a day to deliver lunchboxes from customers’ homes to their offices only on foot, by bicycle and train. This special delivery mode has been used in Mumbai since 1890 without any modification and ITC support with very high reliability.
Lilla and Tamás took part in an Intercultural Awareness Training where they learnt how to bridge intercultural differences.
