TIMON project partners met in Bilbao on 3rd – 4th June to officially launch the TIMON project. The meeting was hosted by the DeustoTech and, in addition to representatives of all organisations involved in TIMON, was also attended by the Project Officer from the European Commission, Bipin Radia.
The first day of the meeting focused on introducing the TIMON work packages, whereas the second day highlighted the work that needs to be done in the upcoming six months. Discussions focused on the identification of user needs and requirements (WP1), data harmonisation and open data management (WP2), the use of artificial intelligence algorithms (WP3), GNSS positioning (WP4), hybrid communications (WP5), and the development of the TIMON pilots (WP7).
Overall, the meeting to launch the project was successful and all the partners agree to get started on the work. Additionally, coffee- and lunch breaks and a social event in the evening of the first day also provided participants with opportunities for networking and getting to know each other.
